Madhu Goel Southworth

madhuMadhu Goel Southworth is Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs, Advertising & Marketing at NBCU. She leads a bi-coastal team of lawyers and non-lawyers responsible for cutting-edge experiential, digital, print, and video marketing and integrated marketing matters across Universal Pictures, DreamWorks, Focus Features, Illumination, Peacock, as well as Bravo, Syfy, Oxygen, USA, and E!. Prior to joining NBCU in June of 2023, Madhu worked at AMC, an independent cable channel, which included other channels and streaming services such as Sundance TV, IFC TV, WetV. In that capacity, she and her staff advised and counseled AMC's business departments with respect to digital and non-scripted development and production matters, consumer products, licensing, gaming, location based entertainment, intellectual property and other business affairs matters concerning AMC's top shows like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad and Mad Men. Prior to working at AMC, Madhu was at A&E Television Networks as Director, Legal and Business Affairs providing counsel and negotiating development, production, and talent agreements for both their unscripted and documentary departments. Madhu graduated from University of Chicago Law in 2001 and joined Sidley & Austin as an associate. Prior to Sidley, Madhu completed a federal judicial clerkship in the Southern District of New York for the Honorable George Daniels. Madhu is a frequent speaker at national conferences on entertainment related issues and women in the profession. When not working, Madhu loves spending time with her family and friends.

Lasherelle Morgan

Lasherelle Morgan is Senior Corporate Counsel at Amazon Studios, where she leads the LatAm, India and Japan development and production legal teams. Previously, Lasherelle was SVP and Associate General Counsel at Madison Square Garden where she led the entertainment legal team in structuring productions and live events. Throughout her 20 years of experience, Lasherelle has negotiated hundreds of deals in connection with the acquisition, development, production, and distribution of original and licensed content. Prior to MSG, Lasherelle led the original content legal team at Audible (an Amazon company) and served as VP, Business & Legal Affairs at Viacom Media Networks and Head of Business & Legal Affairs at EPIX. Lasherelle also held legal and business affairs roles at HBO and Food Network after beginning her career as a mergers and acquisitions attorney at Latham and Watkins. Lasherelle is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and Columbia Law School.

Kesari Ruza

kesariKesari Ruza is Vice President Legal Affairs, Branding & Marketing at Home Box Office, Inc. Since joining HBO in 2008, Kesari advises the Consumer Marketing and Social Media groups on all aspects of advertising and promotional campaigns tied to HBO's original programming, including negotiating agency agreements, content license agreements, creative and copy clearance, co-promotions, interactive online promotions, sweepstakes & contests, and licensing & retail ventures. Kesari came to HBO after eight years in private practice at law firms Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton NY and prior to that, Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, where she represented studios, advertising agencies, publishers, and other media companies in both transactional and litigation matters. Kesari is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D. 1999) and Yeshiva University (BA, 1993). She lives in Queens, New York with her husband and two daughters.
